Nothing super interesting happened today. It was sunny outside, so we got to have recess on the big field. Caleb and Brian raced each other, and I tried to join, but I tripped again (I always trip). My pants got grass stains, which Mom wasn’t too happy about, but I told her it means I had fun.
Mrs. Anderson read us a chapter from a book about space travel. I liked it. There was a robot in the story that couldn’t stop asking questions, kind of like me when I’m excited. I wonder if real robots will be like that one day.
After school, I drew another picture of the dragon, even though Mom says it’s “just a phase.” This time it looked a little older. Bigger wings. Sharper eyes. I gave it a name: Eldrin. I think Eldrin is a good dragon. He protects forests and keeps secrets.
I asked Nyami if she remembers the book. She said she thinks she might have seen it before, but she wasn’t sure. Then she asked if I’ve been sleeping okay lately. I said yes, but that’s not really true. I keep waking up in the middle of the night and not knowing why.
Anyway, it was a good day. I feel better than yesterday.
I think I’ll sleep better tonight.
